As a little girl growing up in Pittston Pennslyvania, my life was filled with a million memories. Looking back through the years, it struck me that so many moments of joy and kindness, smiles and bursts of laughter were rooted in one woman, my mother. She was always the one who brightened my life and lit the way through the good times and the bad. When I decided to start my first business amid the darkened times of 2020, I wanted to make a difference and to spread some light by providing a high quality product, hand crafted to give our customers value and hours of enjoyment.

I looked around my closet filled with many things that no longer held meaning to me and I made a decision. I sold all of my designer purses and pooled my money to launch my business and become an entrepreneur for the first time in my life.

The name of that business would be "Phriseil", pronounced free-shel, which is Celtic for "Precious". Every time I hear it said, it reminds me of my mother, a woman who did not teach me how to live, but rather showed me. In that word she is honored; for prec, short for precious, was what she called me when I was so young and engulfed in her love, when her kindness and joy brightened my world.
